Graham C. Boettcher: Dr. Boettcher is a Luce Foundation Curatorial Fellow of American Art at the Birmingham Museum of Art. He has instructed courses about films at Yale University, his alma mater.
Bruce Brasell: Dr. Brasell has taught courses in Cinema Studies at
New York University and Vassar College. Currently a resident of Birmingham,
Dr. Brasell published a 2003 article in FILM HISTORY magazine about
Twentieth Century film censorship in Mobile, Alabama, his hometown.
Alan N. Brown: The Director of the Writing Center at the University of West Alabama, Dr. Brown published LITERARY LEVEES OF NEW ORLEANS in 1998. The Illinois native is currently preparing a video about Alabama ghost tales entitled, "Haunts from the Heart of Dixie."
Jackson R. Bryer: Editor of CONVERSATIONS WITH LILLIAN HELLMAN, Dr. Bryer teaches at The University of Maryland and has written many books on giants of American theatre. He is also president of the international F. Scott Fitzgerald Society.
William Cobb: A novelist, playwright and writer-in-residence at the University of Montevallo, Cobb received a Pulitzer Prize nomination for A WALK THROUGH FIRE inspired by his native Demopolis. His short story "The Stone Soldier" was named best story of the year by STORY MAGAZINE.
Bernard F. Dick: Bernard Dick teaches courses in film criticism and history at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is the author of HELLMAN IN HOLLYWOOD, and he is currently writing a book about the actress Claudette Colbert.
Jan Herman: Jan Herman wrote the acclaimed biography about William Wyler entitled A TALENT FOR TROUBLE, and he has covered theatre for the LOS ANGELES TIMES. He co-authored a work of short fiction called "Cut Up or Shut Up" with an introduction by William S. Burroughs.
Bert Hitchcock: A native of Demopolis, Bert Hitchcock is the Hargis Professor of American Literature at Auburn University. A recipient of the annual award from the Alabama Humanities Foundation, he is the co-editor of AMERICAN SHORT STORIES.
Joel Lobenthal: Lobenthal wrote TALLULAH! about the famed actress and personality Tallulah Bankhead from Alabama. He is the assistant editor of BALLET REVIEW and writes for THE NEW YORK SUN.
Pat Loughney: Mr. Loughney is Curator of the Eastman House Museum, Rochester, New York, that restores and preserves vintage American films. He recently appeared as a panelist at the 2006 San Francisco Silent Film Festival.
Deborah Martinson: Chair of English Writing at Occidental College, Dr. Martinson wrote the latest biography about Lillian Hellman: LILLIAN HELLMAN, A LIFE WITH FOXES AND SCOUNDRELS. She was research assistant for the PBS documentary, "The Lives of Lillian Hellman."
Don Noble: "Retired" is not an accurate adjective to describe this former Professor of English. Since his retirement from The University of Alabama, Dr. Noble continues to educate audiences about notable works of Southern and American Literature with his popular book reviews and interviews on Alabama Public Radio. "Bookmark," his popular show on Alabama Public Television, compels statewide viewers to visit their libraries and bookstores.
The Rev. Aaron D. Raulerson: The Rev. Aaron D. Raulerson has served as Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church of Demopolis, Alabama, since 2003. He has served in ordained ministry for six years, previously as Curate of All Saints Episcopal Church in Mobile, AL, and Coordinator of the Episcopal Black Belt Ministries.
Frances Robb: Often a featured speaker about Alabama arts and artists, Frances Robb is a promoter and protector of the legacy of Alabama actress Tallulah Bankhead. In 1992, she organized the Tallulah Bankhead Society, an important source for information about the celebrated actress.
Stuart Rockoff: Dr. Rockoff is director of the history department at the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life in Jackson, Mississippi. He currently serves on the board of the Southern Jewish Historical Society and is preparing a general history of Jewish life in the South.
Rita Wade: Ms. Wade served as Lillian Hellman's assistant for over twenty years and continues to administer the work of Ms. Hellman's estate. She now works for Elaine May in New York City.

Family of Margaret Tallichet and William Wyler
The children of Margaret Tallichet and William Wyler joined their parents
for global travels after their father's retirement in 1971. Festival guest
Melanie Wyler joyfully told Wyler biographer Jan Herman that her parents
became "traveling fools" once Mr. Wyler made the decision to put the
director's chair behind him. All four of the couple's children, CATHERINE
WYLER, MELANIE WYLER, JUDITH WYLER SHELDON, and DAVID WYLER, will attend the
opening weekend of the festival, March 2-4, 2007. They continue the Wyler
family tradition of travel and adventure. They also promote American film and
entertainment. Catherine is the Artistic Director of the High Falls Film
Festival in Rochester, New York, dedicated annually to the achievements of
women filmmakers. David is a television producer in Los Angeles. Judy is
Chairperson of the Board for the annual San Francisco Silent Film Festival. Honorary Chairpersons
